NJECT-3D is a student initiated design project where the utilities of a 3D printer and an injection molding machine are integrated into one cohesive unit. The goal of our project was to test the limits of rapid prototyping by utilizing printed molds. We developed an automated system where a mold can be printed on a 3D printer, translated from said 3D printer to an injection molder, then compressed and injected at said injection molder to output a finalized injection molded part.

The objective of the locomotion system was to design and implement the mechanical, electrical, and software related functions to ensure the LLAGV had the capability of maneuvering its surroundings. The LLAGV’s motors were represented in an open loop transfer function to utilize RPM feedback and a compensator when needed. Water management during crop irrigation is a problem for the agricultural industry. One way to alleviate some power constraints would be for two UAVs to exchange batteries while both are in flight. Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) are remote controlled drones operated by a non-local user. The ROV we plan to build is connected by a tethering wire to a floating buoy that contains an antenna which will send signals between the base station and the ROV. The ROV is equipped with a video camera, ballast system, propulsion system, lights, and a depth sensor. The ROV will transmit a live video feed to the user, while receiving input signals to control its movement from the base station.

Disc golf is a game similar to traditional golf where players throw small plastic discs into chain-link nets. Disc golf courses cover several acres containing lakes, small wooded areas, large bushes, and grassy fields.
