Efficient Discovery And Utilization Of Radio Information In Ultra-Dense Heterogeneous 3d Wireless Networks, Mattaka Gamage Samantha Sriyananda

Electronic Thesis and Dissertation Repository

Emergence of new applications, industrial automation and the explosive boost of smart concepts have led to an environment with rapidly increasing device densification and service diversification. This revolutionary upward trend has led the upcoming 6th-Generation (6G) and beyond communication systems to be globally available communication, computing and intelligent systems seamlessly connecting devices, services and infrastructure facilities. In this kind of environment, scarcity of radio resources would be upshot to an unimaginably high level compelling them to be very efficiently utilized. In this case, timely action is taken to deviate from approximate site-specific 2-Dimensional (2D) network concepts in radio resource utilization …

Exploring Artificial Intelligence (Ai) Techniques For Forecasting Network Traffic: Network Qos And Security Perspectives, Ibrahim Mohammed Sayem Aug 2022

Exploring Artificial Intelligence (Ai) Techniques For Forecasting Network Traffic: Network Qos And Security Perspectives, Ibrahim Mohammed Sayem

Electronic Thesis and Dissertation Repository

This thesis identifies the research gaps in the field of network intrusion detection and network QoS prediction, and proposes novel solutions to address these challenges. Our first topic presents a novel network intrusion detection system using a stacking ensemble technique using UNSW-15 and CICIDS-2017 datasets. In contrast to earlier research, our proposed novel network intrusion detection techniques not only determine if the network traffic is benign or normal, but also reveal the type of assault in the flow. Our proposed stacking ensemble model provides a more effective detection capability than the existing works. Our proposed stacking ensemble technique can detect …

Machine Learning And Operations Research For Intelligence Engines In Future Networks, Ali Chouman Aug 2022

Machine Learning And Operations Research For Intelligence Engines In Future Networks, Ali Chouman

Electronic Thesis and Dissertation Repository

The evolution of fifth-generation (5G) and Beyond mobile technologies is spurred by the rapid demands and high-end requirements of next-generation mobile networks. It is imperative that advanced intelligence and machine learning techniques address these dynamic requirements by supporting network operations in terms of maintenance, servicing, and performance. The Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) has outlined a Network Data Analytics Function (NWDAF) for 5G Core (5GC) networks that should provide predictive network maintenance and improve network performance in these dynamic networks, and which must leverage the capabilities of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced data analytics methods to satisfy its specification …
