User Profiling For Tv Program Recommendation Based On Hybrid Televisionstandards Using Controlled Clustering With Genetic Algorithms And Artificial Neuralnetworks, İhsan Topalli, Selçuk Kilinç Jan 2020

User Profiling For Tv Program Recommendation Based On Hybrid Televisionstandards Using Controlled Clustering With Genetic Algorithms And Artificial Neuralnetworks, İhsan Topalli, Selçuk Kilinç

Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences

In this paper, an earlier method proposed by the authors to make smart recommendations utilizing artificial intelligence and the latest technologies developed for the television area is expanded further using controlled clustering with genetic algorithms (CCGA). For this purpose, genetic algorithms (GAs), artificial neural networks (ANNs), and hybrid broadcast broadband television (HbbTV) are combined to get the users' television viewing habits and to create profiles. Then television programs are recommended to the users based on that profiling. The data gathered by the developed HbbTV application for previous studies are reused in this study. These data are employed to cluster users. …

From Footprint To Evidence: An Exploratory Study Of Mining Social Data For Credit Scoring, Guangming Guo, Feida Zhu, Enhong Chen, Qi Liu, Le Wu, Chu Guan Dec 2016

From Footprint To Evidence: An Exploratory Study Of Mining Social Data For Credit Scoring, Guangming Guo, Feida Zhu, Enhong Chen, Qi Liu, Le Wu, Chu Guan

Research Collection School Of Computing and Information Systems

With the booming popularity of online social networks like Twitter and Weibo, online user footprints are accumulating rapidly on the social web. Simultaneously, the question of how to leverage the large-scale user-generated social media data for personal credit scoring comes into the sight of both researchers and practitioners. It has also become a topic of great importance and growing interest in the P2P lending industry. However, compared with traditional financial data, heterogeneous social data presents both opportunities and challenges for personal credit scoring. In this article, we seek a deep understanding of how to learn users’ credit labels from social …

Tracking And Taxonomy Of Cyberlocker Link Sharers Based On Behavior Analysis, Xiao-Xi Fan, Kam-Pui Chow Jan 2015

Tracking And Taxonomy Of Cyberlocker Link Sharers Based On Behavior Analysis, Xiao-Xi Fan, Kam-Pui Chow

Journal of Digital Forensics, Security and Law

The growing popularity of cyberlocker service has led to significant impact on the Internet that it is considered as one of the biggest contributors to the global Internet traffic estimated to be illegally traded content. Due to the anonymity property of cyberlocker, it is difficult for investigators to track user identity directly on cyberlocker site. In order to find the potential relationships between cyberlocker users, we propose a framework to collect cyberlocker related data from public forums where cyberlocker users usually distribute cyberlocker links for others to download and identity information can be gathered easily. Different kinds of sharing behaviors …

A Model For User Profiling Systems With Interacting Agents, Sanem Sariel, Tevfi̇k Akgün Jan 2005

A Model For User Profiling Systems With Interacting Agents, Sanem Sariel, Tevfi̇k Akgün

Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences

Service systems according to users' personal demands and preferences are on their way to provide required services in many application domains. Emulation of interactive model of human societies produces valuable outcomes for such systems. In this work, a system model with interactive agents for multi user service systems is proposed. A novel social interactive agent model using different interaction forms is also included in this proposal. In this model, agents decide how to serve to their users by considering their users' profiles and information from other agents. User clusters are formed by clustering techniques. The Q-learning algorithm is used for …

Web Mining For Web Personalization, Magdalini Eirinaki, Michalis Vazirgiannis Feb 2003

Web Mining For Web Personalization, Magdalini Eirinaki, Michalis Vazirgiannis

Magdalini Eirinaki

Web personalization is the process of customizing a Web site to the needs of specific users, taking advantage of the knowledge acquired from the analysis of the user's navigational behavior (usage data) in correlation with other information collected in the Web context, namely, structure, content, and user profile data. Due to the explosive growth of the Web, the domain of Web personalization has gained great momentum both in the research and commercial areas. In this article we present a survey of the use of Web mining for Web personalization. More specifically, we introduce the modules that comprise a Web personalization …
