The pile foundations can experience torsional loads from earthquakes, wind, waves, offshore wind turbines, electrical transmission towers, and ship collisions in the maritime environment. Additionally, the axial load from the supporting superstructures can also cause torsional loads. This paper presents a new approach to pile modification called the finned pile.
