"The purpose of this study was to extend previous examinations of commercial multi-crew airplane accidents and incidents to evaluate the Crew Resource Management (CRM) application as it relates to error management during the final approach and landing phase of flight. With data obtained from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), a x2 test of independence was performed to examine if there would be a statistically significant relationship between airline management practices and CRM-related causes of accidents/incidents.
