The Simulation Assessment Of Availability For K/N Redundancy System Considering Failure Relevance Of Components, Haidong Du, Junhai Cao, Fusheng Liu, Xu Dan

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: For the limitations existing in the system availability assessment based on the failure independent hypothesis,the availability assessment model for k/N system based on Copula function theory is built.A reliability evaluation method of fault-related system on the foundation of Agent technique is proposed. The completion of the simulation model from component entity to equipment entity resolves the question of reliability assessment existing in k/N system considering the effects of components relevance. And last, the evaluation results of system availability under different spare parts schemes are given under different material support program, the research results show that the relevance existing …

Definition Of Oral Presentation, Walter Antonia.Cummins22@Gmail.Com

walter-smith

Someone says,” if you don’t strike oil in 15 minutes then stop boring”. This means is to give an oral presentation that will grab audience attention in the workplace and in educational settings. The assessment of oral presentation comes in a form of different formats, from the multimedia projects to the group work to speeches. An oral presentation is about simply explaining your personal point of view to eh audience and tries to convince them of your viewpoint. In the classroom or any competition on oral presentation, teachers or judges grade these oral presentations based on the quality of the …

Evaluating Measurement Of Strain Hardening Method For Mechanical Assessment Of Geomembrane Service Life In Msw Landfills, Alaa Alsharaballi Oct 2019

Evaluating Measurement Of Strain Hardening Method For Mechanical Assessment Of Geomembrane Service Life In Msw Landfills, Alaa Alsharaballi

Theses and Dissertations

The increased household production result in more construction of municipal solid waste (MSW) landfills and lagoons. One major part of these engineering projects is high-density polyethylene (HDPE) geomembrane. Geomembrane is an impermeable layer that used along bottom and sides of landfills and lagoons to contain the leachate and to protect the groundwater. Although of their chemicals resistance and high strength, it can be aged under service conditions such as high temperature, ultraviolet (UV) light, and chemicals exposure. These conditions accelerate oxidation of geomembrane and lead to brittle behavior and stress cracking which reduce its service life.

Our objective in this …

Evaluation Method Of Imminent Battle Situation In Air Combat, Huimin Cao, Anxiang Huang, Lei Xiang Feb 2019

Evaluation Method Of Imminent Battle Situation In Air Combat, Huimin Cao, Anxiang Huang, Lei Xiang

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: In the state of air combat, the situation change rapidly. Quick and accurate assessment of the current situation and making decisions is the key to the victory of air combat and the preservation of own strength. Based on the specialty of the modern air battle and pelagic operation, this article adds the political factor, the pilot individual actual combat ability, and the formation cooperative tactical task to fight against the single constraint into the evaluation index system. This makes the evaluation more reasonable and comprehensive and closer to the actual combat, so as to provide more accurate basis for …

Simulation Assessment Of Degradation System Reliability Under Imperfect Maintenance, Haidong Du, Junhai Cao, Shen Ying, Shangru Teng Jan 2019

Simulation Assessment Of Degradation System Reliability Under Imperfect Maintenance, Haidong Du, Junhai Cao, Shen Ying, Shangru Teng

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: For the state change characteristic of degradation system under imperfect maintenance, the common analysis method becomes useless. A simulation method for repairable system is presented. A change rule of system reliability was analyzed and a reliability assessment model was built on the foundation of components degradation process. A simulation tactics based on variable structure modeling was given which is realized through Agent technique. A maintenance optimization example was given for the determination of maintenance opportunity which is used to support the formulation and improvement of maintenance support program for repairable system.

A gathering of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) higher education stakeholders met in November 2018 to consider the relationship between innovation in education and assessment. When we talk about assessment in higher education, it is inextricably linked to both evaluation and accreditation, so all three were considered. The first question we asked was can we build a nation of learners? This starts with considering the student, first and foremost. As educators, this is a foundation of our exploration and makes our values transparent. As educators, how do we know we are having an impact? As members and implementers of …

Towards An Assessment Framework Of Reuse: A Knowledge Level Analysis Approach, Ghassan Beydoun, Achim Hoffmann, Rafael Valencia-Garcia, Jun Shen, Asifqumer Gill Jan 2019

Towards An Assessment Framework Of Reuse: A Knowledge Level Analysis Approach, Ghassan Beydoun, Achim Hoffmann, Rafael Valencia-Garcia, Jun Shen, Asifqumer Gill

Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences - Papers: Part B

The process of assessing the suitability of reuse of a software component is complex. Indeed, software systems are typically developed as an assembly of existing components. The complexity of the assessment process is due to lack of clarity on how to compare the cost of adaptation of an existing component versus the cost of developing it from scratch. Indeed, often pursuit of reuse can lead to excessive rework and adaptation, or developing suites of components that often get neglected. This paper is an important step towards modelling the complex reuse assessment process. To assess the success factors that can underpin …

According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), by 2036 the aviation sector will need 620,000 new pilots, 125,000 new air traffic controllers, and 1.3 million aircraft maintenance personnel (ICAO, 2018);

Pilots seeking a first officer position (a common entry-level position at Part 121 air carriers) are required to possess an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate and 1,500 hours of total flight time;
