Effect Of 2,2€²-Dipyridyl And K_4fe(Cn)_6 On Electroless Copper Plating Using Glyoxylic Acid As Reducing Agent, Dan-Dan Shen, Fang-Zu Yang, Hui-Huang Wu

Journal of Electrochemistry

The electroless copper plating was studied in a bath consisting of glyoxylic acid as reducing agent,Na2EDTA as complexing agent, both 2,2'-dipyridyl and K4Fe(CN)6 as additives, focused on the influence of the additives on the deposition rate,as well as on the composition, structures and surface morphology of the deposits. It was found that adding an optimum amount of 2,2'-dipyridyl and K4Fe(CN)6 to the bath will not only improve the stability of the bath, but also increase the deposition rate by 100 %.The simultaneous addition of both additives causes the deposits to bright appearance and the change in morphology. The deposits were proved to be polycrystalline copper,in which …

The use of polymers in many products have increased tremendously in the past few years leading to an increase in the amount of plastic waste generated, which in return became a huge problem. There are several ways to handle these wastes including; landfilling, chemical recycling, mechanical recycling and incineration. In Egypt mechanical recycling takes place in order to re-use these polymers in new products. The concern of this thesis is to try to find solution for some of the unused wastes by mechanically recycling them. The research aims to modify the properties of one of the most available polymers which …

The effects of SiC and Carbon doping on the superconducting properties of MgB2 polycrystalline samples have been analysed by means of specific heat and magnetic relaxation measurements. It is known that the addition of nanometric powders of SiC and C leads to the enhancement of Birr and Jc. However, the underlying physical mechanism is not completely understood. Magnetic relaxation measurements did not show detectable effects of both the additions on the pinning properties of MgB2. It follows that doping acts mainly introducing disorder into the superconductor and thus raising Bc2. In the case of MgB1.9C0.1, specific heat measurements show that …
