Pervaporation: A Novel Process For Ethanol Separation Using Fermentation, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Sanjay H. Amaley, R. S. Sapkal, V. S. Sapkal

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

Various separation processes were used in the chemical industry along with their corresponding separating agents. The separation processes play a critical role in various chemical process industries, including the removal of impurities from raw materials, purification of products, separation of recycle streams, and removal of contaminants from air and effluents. Hence it can be intensified by integrating of existing and new unit operations, it offers a huge increase in efficiency and controllability, thereby saving a lot of raw materials and energy, reducing waste production, increasing yield and quality and improving production safety. This review, deals on the development and implementation …

Optimization Of Economic Production Quantity And Profits Under Markovian Demand, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Kizito Paul Mubiru Jan 2015

Optimization Of Economic Production Quantity And Profits Under Markovian Demand, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Kizito Paul Mubiru

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

In most manufacturing industries; demand uncertainty affects effective planning and control of production levels that maximize profits. In this paper, a new mathematical model is developed to optimize economic production quantity (EPQ) of a single-item, finite horizon, periodic review inventory problem with Markovian demand. In this model, sales price and inventory replenishment periods are uniformly fixed over the planning horizon. Adopting a Markov decision process approach, the states of a Markov chain represent possible states of demand for the inventory item. The production cost, holding cost, shortage cost and sales price are combined with demand and inventory positions to generate …

Image data has been considered as a vital source of information with far-fetched growth of Information Technology. World Wide Web has facilitated easy and round the clock access of data. Archiving of image data in good proportion has been made possible with high capacity storage devices and communication links. Time and efficiency have been considered as most important factors for information recognition from these datasets. The huge numbers of information databases have diverse categories of image data. Limited number of major categories can be formed based on the contents of the images with the help of image classification. The authors …

Analytical Models Evaluation For Predicting Vertical Velocity Flows Through Submerged Vegetation, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Mabrouka Morri, Amel Soualmia, Philippe Belleudy, Amel Soualmia, Philippe Belleudy Jan 2015

Analytical Models Evaluation For Predicting Vertical Velocity Flows Through Submerged Vegetation, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Mabrouka Morri, Amel Soualmia, Philippe Belleudy, Amel Soualmia, Philippe Belleudy

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

this study explores the capacity of different analytic models to predict the vertical velocity profile in vegetated flume with submerged vegetation and select the suitable model. The verification is determined due to a comparison between the measured data in vegetated flume and the simulated velocity profiles using the Scilab software

Self-Regulated Solar Lighting System, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Mr. Ramesh C R, Prof.Lyla B Das Jan 2015

Self-Regulated Solar Lighting System, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Mr. Ramesh C R, Prof.Lyla B Das

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

Electricity is a prime concern in today’s world. On observing the path through which we travel daily we can see that a lot of electricity is wasted by glowing sodium wafer lamps and even the traditional tube lights on the electric posts at unnecessary intervals. The self regulating solar system enters into action and exits from functioning depending upon the output from the Day/Night sensing unit. Once the unit indicates arrival of night then the system turns ON, the controlling unit thereafter controls the illumination level of the lamp depending upon the outputs of interruption detector, temperature sensor & real …

Experimental Study Of Initial Fuel Temperature On The Burning Rates Of Kerosene Pools In Cold Environment, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Kunal Ahuja, Alagani Harish, Vasudevan Raghavan Jan 2015

Experimental Study Of Initial Fuel Temperature On The Burning Rates Of Kerosene Pools In Cold Environment, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Kunal Ahuja, Alagani Harish, Vasudevan Raghavan

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

Oil spill cleanup in Arctic is usually done by in-situ burning. The fuel oil will have a very low initial temperature as well as cold boundaries. This study focuses on the variation of the mass burning rate of the fuel with varying initial temperatures of the fuel, which is kept in a metal bowl surrounded by ice. Kerosene is chosen as the fuel. The bowl diameters have been varied from 30 mm to around 50 mm. The fuel bowl is kept surrounded in an ice bath and is ignited after it attains a particular temperature. The initial temperature of the …

A Constrained Genetic Algorithm Based On Constraint Handling With Ks Function And Grouping Penalty, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Jiang Zhansi, Jiang Yulong, Ma Liquan, Feng Jianguo

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

In order to overcome the limitation when using traditional genetic algorithm in solving constrained optimization problems, this paper presents a new method of constrain handling to solve the constrained optimization problems. Firstly, the method makes full use of the condensed characteristics of the KS function to transform multi-constrained optimization problem into a single constraint optimization problem. And then a group penalty method is adopted by genetic algorithm. Aggregate constraint reduces the solution scale effectively and improves the efficiency of searching for global optimization solution. The method of penalty in grouping is used to overcome the difficulty of penalty coefficient selection …
