Experimentally Investigate The Heat Transfer Performance Of Annular Fins, Hazim A.M. Al-Jewaree, Osama A.M. Alhami

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

Performance of annular fins of different shapes subject to locally variable heat transfer coefficient is investigated experimentally in this paper. The performance of the fin expressed in terms of fin efficiency, effectiveness and thermal resistance as a function of the ambient temperature and fin geometry parameters has been presented in the literature in the form of curves known as the fin-efficiency curves for different types of fins without use the diamond shape, but in the present work, we study this shape with others. However, for cases in which the heat transfer from the fin is dominated by natural convection, the …

Laboratory And Full-Scale Simulations Of The Behaviour Of Reinforced Cement-Admixed Non-Plastic Soil For Deep Mixing Applications, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Randy P. Asturias, Glen A. Lorenzo

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

This paper proposes a new soil treatment method that employs reinforced deep mixing method (RDMM). In this method, the deep mixing pile is reinforced in a manner similar to a spirally reinforced concrete column. This paper aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of RDMM on improving the strength and deformation properties of a non-plastic soil. Four (4) experimental phases are conducted in this study and these are: 1) Physical property tests of the base soil, (2) Unconfined compressive strength (UCS) tests on unreinforced cementadmixed soil specimens, (3) Unconfined compressive strength tests on reinforced cement-admixed soil specimens, and (4) Construction and load …

In The recent decades, the use of underground spaces including tunnels, railway, subway, cavern, underground spaces and others had great growth. Geological and geotechnical site conditions vary in different projects, requires different design, calculation and implementation methods also requires that the past experience and scientific and technical principles consistently applied. In this article we have tried to use the method of analytical, numerical and experimental investigation of the subway tunnel subsidence station of Imam Ali university

Design Of Innovative Engine Valve, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, S. M. Muzakkir, M. G. Patil, Harish Hirani Feb 2015

Design Of Innovative Engine Valve, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, S. M. Muzakkir, M. G. Patil, Harish Hirani

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

This is part two of the paper on conceptual design of an engine valve. The previous paper describes the background and the need of an engine valve for an internal combustion engine. The present state of the engine valve technology and the innovations incorporated in its design has been described. This paper presents the conceptualization of an innovative valve train aiming at lesser number of components, reduction in friction and wear, proper sealing, and trimming down pumping losses. Various geometric designs of valve trains have been detailed and compared. Finally a convolution based poppet valve mechanism, which is free from …

Enhanced Material Removal Rate And Surface Quality Of H13 Steel In Electrical Discharge Machining With Graphite Electrode In Rough Machining, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Banh Tien Long, Ngo Cuong Nguyen Huu Phan, Hoang Anh Toan, Pichai Janmanee Jan 2015

Enhanced Material Removal Rate And Surface Quality Of H13 Steel In Electrical Discharge Machining With Graphite Electrode In Rough Machining, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Banh Tien Long, Ngo Cuong Nguyen Huu Phan, Hoang Anh Toan, Pichai Janmanee

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

Enhanced productivity and workpiece surface quality after electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a concern of many researchers. In this study, the effect of powder concentrations on material removal rate (MRR), surface roughness (SR) and topography surface in powder mixed EDM (PMEDM) was investigated. The experimental studies were conducted keeping the various parameters like current, voltage and pulse time constant while using varying concentrations of titanium powder. Experimental research methods were employed to study performance characteristics in the machining of H13 steel using PMEDM with a graphite electrode. The results revealed that the concentration of titanium powder has a powerful influence …

Synthesis And Characterization Of Nano-Copper-Powder Based Magnetorheological Fluids For Brake, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Chiranjit Sarkar, Harish Hirani Jan 2015

Synthesis And Characterization Of Nano-Copper-Powder Based Magnetorheological Fluids For Brake, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Chiranjit Sarkar, Harish Hirani

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

Magnetorheological (MR) fluids can be used as brake friction materials [1, 2]. During braking, kinetic energy of machines gets converted into heat and shear thinning of MR fluid due to increase in temperature occurs which in turn reduces the braking effect. To lessen the effect of heat generation on MR fluids due to heat, synthesis of magnetorheological fluid using nano-copper-powder has been proposed. To explore the feasibility of incorporating copper powder, four carbonyl iron (CI) powder based MR fluids (without any copper powder, with 0.25% weight, 0.5% weight and 0.75% weight copper powder) have been synthesized. Yield stress of all …

A Literature Survey On Different Type Of Energy Efficiently Routing Protocol In Wireless Sensor Network, Innovative Research Publications Irp India, Devendra Patle, Sandip Nemade

Innovative Research Publications IRP India

— Wireless sensor network is an emerging technology which has an immense scope of research and development. It has the potential of quick capturing, processing and transferring data with high resolution to the base station. WSN consists of multiple sensor nodes, these nodes have low storage capability and limited battery life which dies due to the computation and transmission of data. It is not feasible to replace these batteries due to their placement in isolated areas. In this paper we will emphasize on maximizing energy efficiency and improvement of life span of network. Clustering is the technique which balances the …

This paper presents the chest worn pulse oximeter with integrated universal software radio peripheral (USRP) with global positioning systems (GPS) disciplined clock transceiver from National Instruments. It illustrates the respiratory cardio monitoring using the flexible reflective pulse oximeter with ECG. The gathered cardio respiratory data assessed by the microcontroller and the output is sent through to the remote monitor display by means of wireless system. The device also incorporates an early warning feature to alert both the user and the person being monitored. The GPS device is included for tracking and to determine the present location of the client in …
