Water quality deterioration in Lebanon is a pressing national issue and there is a high need for continuous water quality assessment and monitoring of water bodies in the country. This study aims at assessing water quality of Ras El-Ain Ponds, a major natural water resource for domestic use in Tyre district, South Lebanon by using the widely applied Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment Water Quality Index (CCME WQI). The article examines the dynamic characteristics of the mechanical circuit of the developed induction vibration transducer. It is found that in the investigated transducers forced oscillations occur with the frequency of the input disturbing force, the amplitude of forced oscillations does not depend on the initial conditions and time, and in forced oscillations with damping there is always a shift of the oscillation phase compared to the phase of the input disturbing force. It is shown that the induction vibration transducer reproduces the measured vibrations with small distortions only in a relatively narrow frequency region at frequencies of the input …

The article discusses promising optoelectronic converters (OP) for wide application of angular movements. A methodology and diagram for calculating OP with the transverse movement of a moving element is presented; in order to simplify the calculation, the weight range of angular movements is conventionally divided into three sub ranges. A graph is given of the dependence of the area of the photosensitive surface of a photo resistor made from a single crystal of high-resistivity p-type silicon.

This paper presents a smart system for early detection of wheat plant diseases in the vegetation period. The proposed smart system allows detecting three types of wheat diseases, particularly yellow rust, powdery mildew and septoria at early stage and significantly improves the soil and ecology by locally spraying harmful chemicals just to sickness plants. The proposed diagnostic program is created in the C++ programming language. The basic structure of the smart system consists of Raspberry PI 4 MODULE, Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920, buzzer, HC-SR04 distance sensor, DC motor driver, AC motor, power supply, relay and some digital devices.

Abstract: In order to improve the accuracy of automatic target recognition and promote the effect on substation operation and maintenance, automatic target recognition of substation 3D scene for digital twin is proposed. The automatic target recognition model for the three dimensional scene of the substation is constructed. The perception module of the model is used to collect the real-time status data of substation, and the communication module is used to transmit the data to digital twin modules. Abstract: An improved SABAS is proposed to improve the safety and path smoothing of UAV missions in urban multi-obstacle environments and to obtain the shortest path. The algorithm no longer completely depends on the difference of odor concentration between the left and the right tentacles of beetle when exploring the path for position update. This paper presents a conceptual prototype of an efficient urban farming community that can be scaled for a single apartment building or an entire community across all global geoeconomics regions, including densely populated cities and rural, developing towns and communities. The variation of shear strength indices of unsaturated soil with the degree of saturation Sr is complicated. In order to describe the experimental phenomena, the existing literature on the variations of cohesion, internal friction angle and dilation angle with Sr is analyzed. The results show that: (1) When Sr decreases and the pore water gradually transits from capillary water to adsorbed water, the friction angle increases. The development of cracks is important to the damage and failure of soil. In order to study the evolution of meso-cracks in granite residual soil with complex geotechnical engineering properties, a series of reconstructed volume images was obtained by using CT to scan the process of the triaxial compression test. Geogrids are often used in the aggregate cushion of the composite foundation to limit the lateral displacement and reduce the differential deformation. It depends on the interaction between geogrids and aggregate particles. In this study, a series of large-size pull-out tests was performed on biaxial and triaxial geogrids embedded in aggregates with three particle-size gradations. The test results showed that higher normal stress, better gradation and more suitable aggregate particle sizes yielded the increase of the pull-out resistance. The classic punching-shear failure model was proven to be valid for explaining the shear effect between transverse ribs of biaxial geogrids and …
