Intelligent Acp Based Experimental Approach, Bin Chen, Xiaogang Qiu, Yiping Wang Jun 2020

Intelligent Acp Based Experimental Approach, Bin Chen, Xiaogang Qiu, Yiping Wang

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: As an approach to solve the problems in complex system research, ACP (Artificial Society, Computational Experiments, Parallel Execution) has played an important role in research fields such as public safety. With the development of information technologies such as big data, intelligent learning, game play theory, an intelligent ACP based experimental approach was proposed to solve the kernel problems in current complex system research. The possibility analysis of the approach in public safety, biological threats and joint combat experiments was illustrated. The applications including evacuation, network opinion and chemical industrial park security of the approach in safety science …

Think Of The Dynamic Data Driven Application Systems In Simulation: From Physics Domain To Social Domain, Bin Chen, Yiping Wang, Xiaogang Qiu, Liu Liang, Ma Liang

Journal of System Simulation

Abstract: Dynamic data driven application systems (DDDAS) is an important part in the intelligent ACP based experimental approach. With the development of information technologies such as big data, intelligent learning, game play theory, the modes of application of DDDAS in simulation cases have changed a lot. In order to meet the requirements of the researches in both physics domain and social domain, the applications of DDDAS in classical cases are summarized. The data assimilation in the two physics cases is illustrated in detail. Then the cases in social domain which is focused by safety science are also discussed. The …

2012 Energy Justice Conference and Technology Exposition (September 17-18)

Co-sponsored with the Colorado European Union Center of Excellence and the Presidents Leadership Institute at the University of Colorado Boulder.

The ability to harness energy is fundamental to economic and social development. Worldwide, almost 3 billion people have little or no access to beneficial energy resources for cooking, heating, water sanitation, illumination, transportation, or basic mechanical needs. Energy poverty exacerbates ill health and economic hardship, and reduces educational opportunities, particularly for women and children. Specifically, access to efficient and affordable energy services is a prerequisite for achieving the Millennium Development Goal (MDG) relating to poverty eradication.

In response, the UN …
