This paper focus on sensor nodes failure detection monitoring and control process via GSM and ZIGBEE wireless module. The virtual instrumentation process does measure the sensor node characteristics value and control the environment by wireless network. The industrial need does uses four types of sensor gas, radiation, temperature, and smoke sensors. The error occurrence does it’s to be detected and it will be control by the ARM controller. The performances measures does it can be monitor and also be indicated and also be control through the WSN network. The data logging of sensor monitoring and its control functions are realized …

Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) have gained main attraction in providing flexible network services and support to the end users. There are many efforts seen to design robust routing protocol for WMNs and solutions are proposed to standardized channel allocation techniques. There are various approaches dedicated to maximize the network though put and minimize network interface. Existing multi radio multi channel routing protocols utilize only single channel situation and static channel allocation degrades the performance of the WMNs. The challenge is to allocate channel without link interference and to improve end-to-end throughput efficiency in multipath routing for WMNs. In this paper, …

Some Embedded systems involve multiple processors connected by a communication medium. These processors communicate with each other exchanging short messages using some message based communication protocols such as Controller Area Network (CAN), SAE J1939 etc. With the induction of new features inside such networks, the number of messages will increase. The increase of messages may affect the network performance for a given network characteristics. Performance evaluation of a message based networks is therefore desired with increasing message load. This paper presents the performance evaluation of message based embedded communication networks. Several parameters have been estimated as function of number of …

Process variation is an difficulty in designing reliable CMOS mixed signal systems with high yield. To minimize the variation in voltage gain due to variations in process, supply voltage, and temperature for common trans conductance-based amplifiers, we present a new compensation method based on statistical feedback of process information. We further apply our scheme to two well known amplifier topologies in the sun-micron CMOS process as design examples—an inductive degenerated low-noise amplifier (LNA) and a common source amplifier (CSA). The proposed method improves the variation in S21 of an inductively degenerated cascade LNA from 8.75% to 1.27%, which is a …

In this paper, an optimization method based on the foraging behavior of a colony of honey bees in nature was proposed. An optimized model for Proportional Integral Derivative (PID)- speed controller of 3-phase IM drives was introduced to adapt the constant gains of this classical controller. To enhance robustness of this controller, an online algorithm for self-tuning of PID controller-parameters was proposed. Experimental work was introduced using DSP and test results were obtained for several speed trajectories of 2-degree of freedom IM drive and compared with conventional PID controllers.

Wireless sensor network consists of a number of energy constrained sensors which are densely deployed in large geographical area. We consider dynamic configuration of wireless sensor networks, where certain functions can be automatically assigned to nodes at any time of network operations, based on the parameters such as remaining energy and topology changes. In order to achieve the topological controlled network reconfiguration the received signal strength indication value along with battery level of nodes were used which indicate any changes in the network layout and remaining energy of the nodes. Based on these two parameters new tasks were then assigned …

A cantilever-electret based electrostatic micro-power generator for energy harvesting was set up in which Cyclic Transparent Optical Polymer (CYTOP) was used as the electret, and the upper electrode was made in form of an Ashaped cantilever which was fabricated from materials of copper with embedded glass epoxy. The cantilever was vibrated in the vertical direction in close to contact point mode of operation. Experimental result showed that the average output power increases with increasing electret surface potential, and the minimum distance to contact point decreases with increasing electret surface potential. Also, variation of output power with frequency was investigated by …

Increasing need of high security in communication led to the development of several cryptographic algorithms hence sending data securely over a transmission link is critically important in many applications. NIST in the beginning selected Rijndael within October 2000 and formal adoption as being the AES standard started in December 2001. FIPS PUB 197 explains a 128-bit block cipher making Ause of a 128, 192, or 256-bit key. In cryptography, modes of operation enable the repeated and secure use of a block cipher under a single key. This paper presents implementation of multi mode AES algorithm with three modes ECB, CBC …
