Modeling And Computer Simulation Of Numerical Experiments On Laser Propagation Through Atmospheric Turbulence, Chunyi Chen, Huamin Yang, Bin Ren, Zhengang Jiang
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Focusing on numerical simulations of laser propagation in atmospheric turbulence, a method for determining the grid size of optical-field samples that need to be stored in a data file was first suggested, and a simulation scheme based on a parallel computer cluster was proposed. By performing simulation examples, both the average intensity of collimated fundamental Gaussian beams propagating through atmospheric turbulence and the change in spatial-mode composition of Laguerre-Gaussian (LG) beams travelling in atmospheric turbulence were studied. Analyses show that for the case of horizontal propagation, the use of a matching approach based on zero-order moment to determine …

Regional Ionospheric Trend Statistics: Ionolab-Pdf, Ozan Köroğlu, Feza Arikan
Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences
The ionosphere plays an important role for HF bands, space-based positioning systems, satellite communication, and propagation. The variability of the ionosphere has a complex spatiotemporal characteristic, which depends on statistical parameters. Total electron content (TEC) is one of the major observables for investigating and determining this variability. In this study, spatiotemporal within-the-hour statistical characteristics of TEC are determined for Turkey, which is located in midlatitude, using the TEC estimates from the Turkish National Permanent GPS Network-Active between the years 2009 and 2012. The TEC values have strong hourly, seasonal, and positional dependence on east-west direction, and the trend shifts according …
Simulation Of Discrete Electromagnetic Propagation Model For Atmospheric Effects On Mobile Communication, Şaban Seli̇m Şeker, Fulya Kunter
Simulation Of Discrete Electromagnetic Propagation Model For Atmospheric Effects On Mobile Communication, Şaban Seli̇m Şeker, Fulya Kunter
Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences
Wireless communication has become an important part of our lives, and atmospheric effects are one of the ultimate factors affecting quality of communication and satellite systems. In this study the attenuation in mobile communication due to atmospheric events like snow and rain is simulated using the discrete propagation model. In this work, spherical raindrop and oblate spheroid raindrop modeling are used. To check the validity of simulations, the commonly used and accepted ITU-R rain model is used. Oblate spheroid raindrop modeling produces results that are more compatible with ITU-R results, especially at frequencies higher than 50 GHz. At lower frequencies, …
Modeling And Simulation Strategies In High Frequency Surface Wave Radars, Levent Sevgi̇
Modeling And Simulation Strategies In High Frequency Surface Wave Radars, Levent Sevgi̇
Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences
Surface Wave High Frequency Radars (SWHFR) are taken into account in the content of modeling and simulation challenges. Examples related to multi-mixed path surface wave propagation, radar cross section (RCS) prediction, and total radar echo showing target, clutter, noise, and interference are presented.
Bluetooth-Base Worm Modeling And Simulation, Haiou Xiang
Bluetooth-Base Worm Modeling And Simulation, Haiou Xiang
Electronic Theses and Dissertations
Bluetooth is one of the most popular technologies in the world in the new century. Meanwhile it attracts attackers to develop new worm and malicious code attacking Bluetooth wireless network. So far the growth of mobile malicious code is very fast and they have become a great potential threat to our society. In this thesis, we study Bluetooth worm in Mobile Wireless Network. Firstly we investigate the Bluetooth technology and several previously appeared Bluetooth worms, e.g. "Caribe","Comwar", and we find the infection cycle of a Bluetooth worm. Next, we develop a new simulator, Bluetooth Worm simulator (BTWS), which simulates Bluetooth …
2d Complex Point Source Radiation Problem I. Complex Distances And Complex Angles, E. Gago-Ribas, M. J. Gonzalez Morales
2d Complex Point Source Radiation Problem I. Complex Distances And Complex Angles, E. Gago-Ribas, M. J. Gonzalez Morales
Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences
A methodology based on the complex spaces analysis, which allows to generalize the study of wave radiation and scattering problems is presented in this paper. From the analytic continuation of functions defined in the real domain (real propagation or scattering spaces) into the complex space (space of complex coordinates), general non homogeneous phase field solutions are obtained for a particular wave problem. From these general solutions, other common solutions obtained under different approximations will arise. This procedure allows to obtain a complete classification of the solutions for the wave problem under analysis, and also to study both the ranges of …

2d Complex Point Source Radiation Problem Ii.~Complex Beams, M. J. Gonzalez Morales, E. Gago-Ribas
Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences
The complex point source analytic continuation, and the analysis into the spaces of complex distances, angles, and other related magnitudes, may be applied to describe a wide variety of 2D wave propagation problems. This step will be essential in order to establish a complete complex methodology which may be applied to obtain general descriptions of more practical problems involving the scattering of waves under some kind of field incidence. A particular application of the methodology presented in Part I will be used in Part II. The specific problem under analysis in these papers will be the general complex beam solution …
