Oregon needs Black educators in the K-12 public school system. In 35 school districts throughout the state, the number of students of color has risen by over 40% in recent years (Oregon Chief Education Office, 2019). The number of educators of color in the state is under 10%. The number of Black educators is even lower. Research has shown that Black educators improve all students' academic, cultural, and social aspects, especially Black students. Nationally, Black educators were impacted by the Brown v. The purpose of this study was to examine the perceptions of Dual Enrollment teachers and high school counselors to compare and determine whether there are significant differences between their perceptions of college readiness among DE participants in South Alabama. Data was analyzed and presented based on its relevance to effectiveness. This study is relevant because scholars are unclear about the effects of DE on college readiness.

Generating an estimated 32 billion US dollars annually (International Labor Organization [ILO] 2009), sex trafficking is one of the fastest-growing industries internationally and domestically. Further, children constitute approximately 25% of trafficked individuals (ILO, 2012). The Trafficking Victim’s Protection Act (TVPA; 2000) states that an individual under the age of 18 involved in any form of commercial sexual exploitation meets the criteria for sex trafficking of a minor, and the National Strategy focuses on 4 types of exploitation: (a) child pornography, (b) online enticement of children for sexual purposes, (c) commercial sexual exploitation of children, and (d) child sex tourism. The purpose of this multiple-case study was to understand teacher perceptions of bullying and the effectiveness of the current anti-bullying policy of a suburban district in the southwestern U.S. Teacher perceptions will be generally defined as what teachers personally believe about bullying and how they perceive the effectiveness of the district's anti-bullying policy. Data was collected from three sources, interviews, teacher journals, and observations. Cross case synthesis was used to treat each case separately and then combine identified themes across cases.
