Actually, you don't want to wait until you are faced with a book challenge. Be proactive. What steps should you take to be prepared? Can you head off the situation before it actually becomes a challenge? Is your reconsideration policy up to date? Does it align with your school board policy? Do you have a committee of various stakeholders who are on your side? You need to be sure they will join the committee as soon as there is a challenge.
