Rankings at both the international and national scales are becoming more significant in higher education in every corner of the world. Higher education institutions are ranked in a variety of national as well as global lists. The current study evaluates the academic achievements of Indian Institutes of Technology in national as well as global rankings, including those produced by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), Times Higher Education (THE), Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), The Centre for World University Rankings (CWUR), UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), and Atal Ranking of Institutions.

The following Benchmark Portfolio is the product of a full reassessment of FRENCH 203: CONVERSATION & GRAMMAR, an intermediate-level grammar course that serves as a prerequisite for students pursuing a major or a minor in French at UNL. Previously, French 203 had been a review course that covered the essential grammar structures discussed in 101, 102, 201 and 202 and invited students to practice these structures orally with peers in class. On The Impossibilities Of Advancing Racial Justice In Higher Education Research Through Reliance On The Campus Climate Heuristic, Elvira Abrica, Deryl K. Hatch-Tocaimaza, Cecilia Rios-Aguilar

Campus climates are often described as “hostile” for racially minoritized populations. However, growing recognition of complexities associated with intersecting and interwoven systems of social oppression compel the field of higher education to move away from overly simplistic portrayals of postsecondary environments as “welcoming/chilly” or “positive/negative.” More than this, there is a need to engage in a broader discussion of the field’s reliance on the metaphor of meteorological climate itself as a heuristic for characterizing the nature of college learning environments.
