The hypothesis of this study was that boys between the ages of seven to nine playing Tee-ball would receive a significantly higher number of opportunities to learn baseball skills than boys playing in the Atom Leagues; and as a result of the greater number of opportunities to learn, Tee-ball would result in greater improvement than would Atom ball over one season.

This study was undertaken in order to: (1) determine the basic motor skill and physical fitness levels of both migrant and resident students enrolled in the Chief Kamiakin School and Outlook School located in Sunnyside District #201; and (2) apply this knowledge to their present physical education program. In addition the writer devised a curriculum of activities for the migrant students, designed to upgrade their physical capabilities. As in any other part of the curriculum, physical education requires equipment, facilities, and personnel in order to help assure a successful program. The degree of attainment of this success will be shown by the opinions of those whose judgments are considered valid. In contrast with this will be the performance capabilities of the students who take part in the program in terms of physical fitness performance, physical fitness knowledge, and neuromuscular skills. Finally, attitudes about physical education are also held to be important and should also be judged.

Test results and statistical information compiled from the LaPorte Score Card, Elder P (M) F Test, McCloy GMA Test, Stradtman Test of Physical Fitness Knowledge, and the Kneer Attitude and Diagnostic Inventory reflected the status of physical education in the eight schools studied.

The purposes of this study were: (1) to determine the significance in variability between right, left, forward and backward movement times resulting from assuming the three-point and the four-point center stances, for junior high, senior high, junior college and college football players without previous experience at the center position; and (2) to determine the significance of difference between means of right, left, forward and backward movement of the three-point and four-point stances for each of the groups, viz., junior high, senior high, junior college and college.

It was the purpose of this study to determine statistically the effect of an Exer-Genie isometric-isotonic conditioning program on the jumping ability and cardiovascular fitness of junior high school athletes, as compared to a group of junior high school athletes involved in a routine conditioning program using calisthenics. The Sargent Jump Test was used to determine jumping ability and the Cameron Heartometer was used to determine cardiovascular fitness. Each group was compared in view of time spent on conditioning.
