Neisseria meningitidis is the major cause of invasive meningococcal disease (IMD) (Peterson et al, 2018). Approximately 10-15 percent of IMD cases result in debility including neurological impairment, amputation, and death (Peterson et al, 2018). Outbreaks of IMD are sporadic and unpredictable. The incidence of IMD varies geographically, but serogroup B has become more prevalent in recent years. Objective. Despite the significant role of motivation in achieving success among public health students, students often do not demonstrate adequate motivation for learning and education. This study was performed to determine factors affecting the motivation for learning from the perspective of public health students via content analysis approach. Methods. This qualitative study was conducted at Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences in Sanandaj, Iran in 2017. 15 students were included in the study by using purposive sampling. Multiple influenza strains exist and college aged students are the most affected population from the H1N1 strain. The H1N1 influenza pandemic had high attack rates reported on campuses from 25% to 73% (Benjamin et. al., 2016; Uddin et. al., 2009). Only 8% to 40% of college students are vaccinated against influenza despite a target goal of 50% set by the American Healthy Campus 2020 (Benjamin et. al., 2016; Poehling, et. al., 2012). Stress is a complex phenomenon that has significant effects on students which may disturb their physiological, psychological, and spiritual health and well-being. Nursing students have been identified to be at high risk for stress during their education. The experiential learning process is a key concept in gaining and analyzing knowledge, which involves participation in those experiences. In nursing education, these experiences can occur through high-fidelity simulation. The most important component of this learning process is the post-experience critical analysis or debriefing. During the debriefing phase, students must reflect upon the experiences, identify key points, and discuss the main concern related to patient care. Hospital clinical experiences are important events in prelicensure nursing education. Benefits include the opportunity for students to experience actual nursing responsibilities, immersion into environment, and professional socialization. However, challenges in finding appropriate clinical experiences include competition over clinical sites, decreasing patient acuity, and high student-faculty ratios.
