In recent years industrial arts programs have experienced a rapid increase in student enrollment. This is especially true of the drafting area. The extraordinary rate of industrial development within our state is largely responsible for demands for improved training in high school drafting programs.
The apparent inconsistency of course content being taught in Utah high schools indicates a strong need for a unified drafting program that will meet the challenge of our industrial society.

The existence of dramatic art activity at the secondary school level has been often accepted as expedient and profit- able. The objectives, nature, and operation of such & program are, however, topics for much dispute. An investigation of dramatic activity in our public high schools could drew a clearer picture of current dramatic activities in those schools responding to the study. n a survey made by the California State Department of Education, Bureau of Business Education, in Karch, 1945, it was found that very few secondary schools teach advertising as a separate subject; however, techniques in advertising are usually presented in such courses as: salesmanship, retail- I ing, merchandising, general business, consumer's economics, and business English.
