The need for CAD/CAM/CNC curriculum for Washington State was researched. Based on research a resource workbook for CAD/CAM/CNC was in demand. In order to meet the demand for CAD/CAM/CNC curriculum and bridge the gap between the state standards, drafting frameworks, STEM curriculum, increased focus on implementation within multiple disciplines, providing a starting point for teachers who want to use CNC machinery in their program, and prepare students for quality jobs and careers related to CAD/CAM/CNC, a workbook was created. Pre-Academy Placement In The Washington State Patrol: Factors Associated With Academy And Job Performance, Richard Franklin Hamack

Washington State Patrol Trooper Cadets serve in a number of positions, a number of locations across the state and for varying lengths of time before they are selected to attend the academy. The purpose of the present research was to determine whether these factors were related to subsequent academy performance and job performance.

To that end, 255 cadets hired between 1979 and 1985 were studied. The results indicated that only pre-academy assignment duration was significantly correlated with academy completion and academy performance. Implications for further research and departmental policy are discussed.

It is the purpose of this study (1) to investigate industrial arts programs in the Greater Seattle area to discover existing conditions and course content, (2) to research selected national curriculum projects for specific course content which each holds important, and 3) to present conditions which can improve industrial arts and assemble course content for selected subjects in industrial arts. The purpose of this study was to objectively describe a method of teaching English communication skills to Spanish-speaking Mexican-migrant adults. A program of experiences was developed to teach communication skills to Mexican-migrant adults. An attempt was made to overcome the difficulties these adults face in learning a second language and to bring about the changes in attitude necessary for ready adaptation to the culture in which they now find themselves. The important factor in teaching communication skills is the building of an adequate English vocabulary.
