The purpose of this study was to investigate the causes and impact of charter school leadership turnover. Participants in this study included 10 charter school leaders in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota metropolitan area. Data discovered in this study included challenges in the following areas: policy and legal, organizational management, and student and family. Key concepts identified included the benefits of previous leadership experiences, business management experience, which included financial and facility management, and human resources experience.
