Dr. Sara Hubbard, associate professor of chemistry at Ouachita Baptist University, was elected to a three-year term as vice chair of the American Chemical Society (ACS) Southwest Regional Meeting Executive Committee on Nov. 1. As part of this position, Dr. Hubbard will serve on the southwest region’s Steering Committee and the Executive Committee.

Six students from Ouachita Baptist University earned the "Speak Simply" award in the Undergraduate Research Poster Contest at the American Chemical Society (ACS) National Meeting in Dallas March 17. A total of 13 students from the J.D. Patterson School of Natural Sciences presented their work.
