This study explores the way higher education institutions, as examples of autonomous organizations, respond to a new set of regulatory policies. My specific core interest is to discover what types of responses graduate programs give to compulsory accreditation. The study incorporates analysis from the regulatory and the higher education literature, theories and findings.
