The improvement of school environment presents a different problem in each school. The problem facing the Ellensburg School District is one of providing more and better school housing. The purpose of this survey is to find out the condition of the present buildings, to make recommendations for improvements and alterations to the existing structures, to point out the needs for future building expansion. This survey is based on the results of an actual school census undertaken during November of this year.

It was the threefold purpose of this study (1) to determine the present status of the required programs of physical education for college women in institutions engaged in teacher education throughout the United States; (2) to compare present practices with former practices in the programs; and (3) to ascertain whether or not the institutions plan to retain their present requirements,to increase them, or to decrease them.
