Statement of the problem. One of the items that has played a part in the increased costs of education in America is the transportation of pupils to and from school. The tendency today is to get as much service from the tax dollar as possible. It is thought, therefore, that it would be desirable to study two major types of school bus transportation with the idea of discovering which type would give the largest return for the dollar expended. Regardless of the merits of introducing Spanish as a second language in the elementary schools of the state, it is obvious that certain preliminary information must be gathered before one could reach a decision as to the practicability of such a move. It is the purpose of this study to present a history of the certification requirements as they have been advanced step by step since 1863 and to point out the factors which have suggested additional requirements, so that all groups of persons concerned may arrive at a fair and satisfactory understanding of the teacher certification problem in Arizona.

This report of the Community Art Project discussed that the spaces had gone up from 12 from the previous year to 16 for this year. Other things went smoothly with the exception of the week after the hurricane in September 1938. The roads were in bad shape. It was discussed that there was a need for a full time person to continue the work of the Community Art Project.

For a number of years sex differences on many varied topics have been popular studies for investigations. The old belief that the female was definitely inferior to the male has largely disappeared, and the female is rapidly taking her place in the competitive fields alongside the male. Racial and cultural differences alike have been subjected to various investigations, mainly in the field of psychology, and to a lesser extent in education.
