Church growth continues to be a concern for religious sects. Writers on church growth hold that all the various ministries of the church must assist the church in accomplishing church growth.

The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not persons who had been students in the Adventist school system had greater probability of joining the church and staying in the church than those who did not attend an Adventist school but were from homes where at least one parent was a Seventh-day Adventist.

Implementation And Meta-Evaluation Of An Experimental Method For Evaluating An Administrator Training Program, Nancy B. Larsen

The purpose of this study was to operationalize, test, and assess the utility, feasibility, propriety, and accuracy of the "success case method." A review of the literature revealed that although evaluation is presently being conducted in educational training programs, it is often not practical nor cost-effective. The Kirkpatrick model for evaluation provided the conceptual framework for viewing evaluation of training. A training managers' interview questionnaire was developed to elicit perceived changes in trainees' performance after training. Nine success cases, selected from a group of 37 administrators, were interviewed by telephone 2 weeks after the training. Selection criteria and procedures were …

This descriptive study investigated the relationship between perceived supervisory effectiveness (competence) and perceived supervisory satisfaction for nonsupervisory professional-technical employees who may aspire to supervisory positions. The study participants are employees of a large industrial company engaged in the engineering and manufacturing of diversified products for the automotive industry. Specifically, the study attempted to (a) collect employee selfassessment data regarding the employee's perceived supervisory job effectiveness and perceived job satisfaction, (b) determine whether a relationship existed between perceived supervisory effectiveness and satisfaction, and (c) determine if the employee's age and educational level were influencing factors.

This is a report of a case study, in the anthropological tradition of an employer-sponsored community coordinated child care program. The program is located in a midwest community of 20,000. Program start up and functioning is described. Also reported are the responses and rationales of participating companies and the impact of the service on child care in the community. The employer-sponsored child care information and referral consortium, a cost effective employee benefit for corporations, gave the Community Coordinated Child Care agency financial stability. This is a study of the current legal theories, elements, and courts’ stances affecting educational malpractice litigation. General and legal issues were researched as a basis to identify court attitudes and general public pressures. The study also took a look at the question of possible avenues for dealing with problems of educational malpractice. Should the courts decide why Johnny can’t read and award monetary damages? Should the legislature deal with the problem of faulty education, or should a totally different agency become involved in such an undertaking?

This study was done to determine (1) if members of the West Virginia Legislature and county superintendents were in agreement as to the role superintendents are taking and should take politically state educational decision making process, (2) if the superintendents and legislators were in agreement as to the political climate presently in the State of West Virginia, and (3) what part certain independent variables play in the actual political role of superintendents.

It was the purpose of this study to determine whether a bias toward female behaviors exists in the school environment that academically handicaps males and results in a higher ratio of males to females being placed in special education classrooms. In addition, the study examined the administrative implications related to sex-role bias and the ratio of males to females in special education classes.

The problem investigated was the degree of incongruence between the perceptions of nursing education administrators and nursing service administrators in regard to the educational preparation and employment practices for technical and professional nurses which has contributed to discontent in the profession. The population studied was nursing education administrators in AD and BSN programs and nursing service administrators in general acute care hospitals in West Virginia. The research method was a descriptive survey using a mailed questionnaire developed by a researcher. Eighteen (100%) of the nursing education administrators and sixty (89.6%) of the nursing service administrators responded.
