The purpose of this study was to determine if the System of Multicultural Pluralistic Assessment (SOMPA) information which included the Adaptive Behavior Inventory for Children (ABIC) and the Estimated Learning Potential (ELP) was redundant of information on the teacher-scored Hahnemann Elementary School Behavior Scale (HESB) and the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Revised (WISC-R) subtest scores for male and female Black, White, and Chicano Learning Handicapped (LH) and Resource Specialist Program (RSP) fourth grade-age students. Problem: There is a need to evaluate the training programs available to parents to determine the effect of these programs upon the children of participants. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of Parent Effectiveness Training upon the elementary school age children of participants in the areas of self-perceived Locus of Control and behavior. The Problem. The present study is an historical study of the educational impact of American church missionaries in the 19th and 20th centuries on the educational programs of Iran. Western church missionaries, particularly Americans, were among the earliest foreign influence to affect the Iranian educational programs. Traditionally, education has been important in Iran's recorded history of 3,000 years. In old and medieval Iran, customs and religious laws were the prevailing systems that influenced individual and group behavior. They also dictated educational policy. Purpose. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect that the language of instruction has on the reading ability of limited English speaking students at the secondary school. Procedure. Reading test scores from several secondary school districts in California were subjected to statistical analyses to ascertain the effect that the language of instruction had on the reading ability of secondary students with a linguistically distinct background, namely, a Spanish mother tongue. This study was designed to investigate the effects of a special remedial program on the intellectual, academic, and behavioral functioning of underachieving, culturally disadvantaged, mentally gifted minors. The study also concerned itself with student school attendance and parent attendance at parent-teacher conferences. Variables. The selected variables for this study were IQ, academic achievement, student behavior, student attendance, and parent attendance at teacher conferences. IQ was measured with the Stanford-Binet LM intelligence test. This study was designed to assess the impact of leadership training on inter-personal and intra-personal development of middle management in the banking and financial sector. The population under study was chosen from the bank and savings and loan industry in greater California. Sixty-six middle management personnel constituted the sample under study, with 51 branch managers of one financial holding company making up the experimental group and 15 branch managers of another association making up the control group.
