Education | Master's Theses
Implementing neurophysiological research-based strategies into the lives of culturally-linguistically diverse high school students can better help them strengthen essential neural learning and memory connection in their brain (Griffin, 2017; Choudhury et al., 2008). This study aimed to explore the strategies and challenges of implementing neurophysiological strategies by analyzing a group of twenty-one students of diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds and three parents in Northern California. …

Theses and Dissertations--Education Sciences
Providing students with experiences to increase their confidence (self-efficacy) to be physically active is important because of the many health benefits associated with physical activity (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services [USDHHS], 2020). It is recommended that physical education (PE) serve as an intervention to promote PA and provide students with experiences to increase motor competence and PA knowledge (Weiss, 2013). Much criticism has been directed at the physical educators in most of our public schools regarding their methods of determining pupil marks for participation in physical education classes. This criticism has come from many sources. It has come from physical educators, educators, pupils, and the general public. Bookwalter, a leader in the field of physical education, states:
More frequently than one might suspect, pupil's marks in physical education have been determined the night before marks were to be issued. They were then based upon attendance and the teacher's ability to remember the pupil's conformity to rules. Teachers have been known …

The Application Of Judd's Theory Of Generalization To Teaching Situations In Physical Education For Ninth Grade Girls, Helen Minerva Loveridge
