High quality feedback is well-known to provide multiple student benefits, especially if students are provided the opportunity to apply the feedback. It reasons, then, that we can support student success on summative assessments by combining multiple attempts with high-quality immediate feedback. This study explores student behaviors, performance, and perspectives regarding this strategy.

This qualitative, single case study explored the influence of an undergraduate introductory student affairs course (SA 101) on the career development of aspiring student affairs professionals. Using Lent et al.’s (1994) social cognitive career theory, the study was guided by the following questions: (1) How did SA 101 contribute to the career development of students interested in a career in student affairs? Objective: To evaluate the impact of humanities and social sciences curriculum in an undergraduate medical education programme.
Methods: The qualitative study was conducted from May 2016 to May 2017 at a private medical college in Karachi where humanities and social sciences subject is an art of the undergraduate curriculum as a 6-week module at the start of Year 1 of the five-year programme. Focus group discussions were held with students from all the five years as well as with faculty related to humanities and social sciences, basic sciences and their clinical counterparts. This benchmark course portfolio examines TMFD 123: Clothing & Society, a large enrollment, online delivery course offered in the Department of Textiles, Merchandising & Fashion Design at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In addition to detailed discussion of existing course materials, activities, and assessment tools, the portfolio focuses on the issue of student engagement and peer-to-peer interaction. This portfolio describes the process of revising and assessing student learning in CYAF 280 Family Science. The course is housed in the department of Child, Youth, and Family Studies and provides an introduction to family science with an emphasis on the intersection of theory, research, and real-life application.
