هدف المقال التعرف إلى مشكلات إدارة الصف من وجهة نظر عينة من المعلمات التربويات في مدارس مديرية تربية لواء القويسمة، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف، استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتم اختيار عينة عشوائية بواقع (583) معلمة تم توزيع استبانة الدراسة عليهن خلال الفصل الدراسي الأول من العام الدراسي 2022/2023، وقد أشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى أن مشكلات إدارة الصف (الخاصة بالمعلم نفسه، والخاصة بالطلبة، والخاصة بالبيئة المدرسية) قد جاءت بمتوسطات حسابية إجمالية مرتفعة، كما لم تتوصل الدراسة إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى الدلالة (a≤0.05) في مشكلات إدارة الصف تعزى لاختلاف المؤهل الأكاديمي، أو سنوات الخبرة. وفي ضوء ما تم …

Objectives: Various aspects of hope can play a major role in how students from urban locales perceive their school environment. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships between various dimensions of hope and the school environment as perceived by adolescents at an urban high school. Methods: Data from a school-wide needs assessment measuring urban adolescents’ perceived hope and perceptions of the school environment were analyzed. Results: The analysis from regression models indicate that the dimensions of hope variables can be predicted by perceptions of the school environment. Conclusion: Overall, the urban adolescent hope …

Drawing On The Locus Of Control Framework To Explore The Role Of School Leaders In Teacher Well-Being., Inga Venema-Steen, Anne Southall, Anna Bortoli
Journal of Educational Research and Practice
This scoping review explores the role of school leadership in the improvement of teacher well-being by utilizing the Locus of Control (LOC) Framework identified by psychologist Julian Rotter in 1954. The internal and external environments impacting teacher well-being were explored, and the specific responsibilities of school leadership were identified. The literature reports that while teachers are responsible for many aspects of their well-being, school leaders can improve a teacher’s mental health and create a positive school culture by taking responsibility for factors external to the teacher’s LOC. Background: Nature contact and time outdoors is critical for healthy child development and well-being and a disconnect from nature may be problematic. Purpose: This study was designed to evaluate the feasibility of a nature contact intervention for children – an outdoor classroom - in a public school. Methods: Two kindergarten classes participated in this mixed-methods case study (N=2 teachers, n=36 children aged 5-6) and used an outdoor classroom every other day for language arts lesson over a six weeks observation period.
