Active learning experiences that incorporate technology, design, and making combine to form an important and necessary pedagogical approach that supports the 21st century skills of collaboration, communication, creativity, digital literacies, and computational thinking as a problem-solving framework. Active learning experiences in teacher preparation serve as a model for future educators to follow, while building the educators' efficacy to conduct future implementations with their own students. Virtually Escaping A Challenging Semester, Ashley Barbo

In 2019, a novel escape room activity was developed for students enrolled in a pharmacy practice laboratory course at the University of Louisiana Monroe College of Pharmacy. Due to COVID-19, students in the Spring of 2020 were unable to attend classes in person. All labs were transitioned to an online format. Faculty were able to successfully create a virtual version of the escape room lab activity utilizing multiple technology platforms. Development of this virtual lab activity allowed students to complete advanced pharmacy practice skills assessments in a fun and engaging learning environment.

As mathematics teachers, we hope our students will approach problems with a spirit of creativity. One way to both model and encourage this spirit – and, at the same time, to keep ourselves from getting bored – is through creative approaches to problem design. In this paper, we discuss ``TACTivities'' – mathematical activities with a tactile component – as a creative outlet for those of us who teach mathematics, and as a resource for stimulating creative thinking in our students. The focus of this paper is the development of a capstone management course and the application of educational action research through continual learning. The many programs offered through Google’s G Suite for Education have steadily found their footing across the varied fields of librarianship, including instruction. One such program that has potential in encouraging and developing information literacy skills in undergraduate students is Google Forms. This article surveys the formal, academic literature on active learning in art history. It considers the history of active learning in art history and outlines the unique combination of approaches that art history takes towards active learning. A meta-analysis of the literature considers its relationship to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). This survey of literature indicates that although scholarly research on active learning in art history is a burgeoning field of scholarship, it also leaves many avenues open for additional research.

This article aims to report how teacher education may promote active learning which is demanded by the current educational reform of Turkish teacher education (TE). This article also examines the effectiveness of the recent reforms in Turkey from a student’s perspective, and provides an understanding of the concept of active learning, how it is applied and what the obstacles are to achieving it. Efficiency in higher education has increasingly come under scrutiny as student debt levels continue to increase and the quantification of the value provided to students by colleges remains elusive. Collegiate flight training operations are especially subject to such scrutiny, due to their expense and to continued below-average entry-level salaries in the airline industry. This research examines an inductive learning approach combined with a flipped classroom, whereby aviation management students in a large Midwestern collegiate aviation program analyzed the operational efficiency of their primary flight training operation and recommend potential solutions and means of implementation.
