This study aimed at knowing the reality of special education teachers’ knowledge and skills in implementing evidence-based practices, the factors contributing to this knowledge, and its impact on implementing these practices. The mixed-methods sequential explanatory design was used with its two phases: In the quantitative phase, a descriptive survey was used through a questionnaire that was distributed to (311) male and female teachers in the three school levels in Riyadh. Results showed that the teachers’ knowledge of evidence-based practices was medium. However, the results revealed that their implementation skills level of evidence-based practices was low. Derivation Of The Psychometric Properties Of "Rapid Automatized Naming And Rapid Alternating Stimulus (Ran/Ras) Tests" In Arabic, Hanan Al Hmouz Prof., Bashir Abu-Hamour Prof.

This study examined the psychometric proprieties of the Arabic version of the "Rapid Automatized Naming and Rapid Alternating Stimulus (RAN/RAS) Tests" for Jordanian students. A sample of 286 students (five to seventeen years old) was recruited from four public and four private schools in Jordan. Results indicated that the RAN/RAS Tests had high reliability and validity indicators. For example, RAN/RAS Tests had strong correlations with Letter Word Identification Test from the Arabic Woodcock Johnson Battery. Effects Of Using Constant Time Delay In Small Group Instruction To Teach Number Identification Skills To Students With Intellectual Disability, Suha M. Alqahtani, Norah Aldosiry Phd

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of constant time delay (CTD) in a small group teaching arrangement implemented in distance learning on teaching identifying the names of numbers with two digits. A multiple probe design across subjects was used to assess the effect of CTD. Participants of the study were four elementary school students with intellectual disabilities. Maintenance and acquisition of non-target skills through observational learning was assessed. Results showed that all students acquired and maintained the target skills. Data of observational learning showed that students acquired some of the non-target skills.

This study aimed to identify the effect of the using autocorrection to improve typing skill for students with intellectual disabilities in the transition program. The sample of the study include four students with intellectual disabilities, who enrolled in the after-school day care program, whose ages range from (21-25) years, where they taught typing skills by applying autocorrection option on the (Microsoft Word) program. Using single subject design (multiple baseline design across participants), the results showed that all students improve their typing skills on three measures: total number of correct words, accuracy, and error rates.

This study examined considerations for delivering online instruction and related services to students with disabilities. The purpose of the study was to uncover teachers’ reflections about their experiences with online learning for students with disabilities as a response to COVID-19. This study investigated the deaf and hard-of-hearing students' experience of distance education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during COVID-19 during the 2020 academic year. The authors followed a phenomenological approach, conducting an in-depth interview with 10 female teachers of deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Qualitative data revealed four main themes, which show students' experience of distance education. The current study aimed to identify the counseling needs and their relationship to the level of aspiration and attitudes towards study among university students with disabilities. The sample consisted of 85 students with disabilities enrolled at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. This study aimed to explore the use of distance learning with students with intellectual disability from teacher's perspectives during the corona pandemic. The study sample included 320 teachers who specialized in teaching students with intellectual disability. This study explored the relationship between phonological awareness and reading fluency in students with dyslexia in grades 2 and 3. A related purpose was to examine the differences between males and females in their phonological awareness and reading fluency skills. The sample consisted of 41 students (21 boys and 20 girls), aged between 8 and 9 years. The study tools included the phonological awareness test and the reading fluency test. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of a training program on the attitudes of teachers who teach students with learning disabilities (LD) toward co-teaching. The sample of the study consisted of 60 female teachers who teach students with LD in general education schools at Al Batinah South Governorate, Oman. The study aimed to identify importance of using assistive technology with students with intellectual disabilities in inclusive education schools from the perspective of teachers and to reveal statistically significant differences in means of their responses about importance of using assistive technology in inclusive schools according to the following variables (number of students in classroom, degree of disability, years of experience, and attending training on using technology).
