The systematic review provides research trends about the importance of digital competence among students in Indonesia. However, there are limited literature reviews regarding digital competencies for students. This research used the PRISMA protocol using Scopus, ERIC, and Google Scholar databases. Researchers set inclusion and exclusion criteria in the literature search. One hundred twenty-two articles were produced, which were then filtered to 20. This research used content analysis to code, classify, and develop themes. Based on the analysis results, three major themes were obtained: student digital competence, digital native students, and digital learning engagement. Ideal assessment in teaching and learning should involve the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains following the Merdeka Belajar curriculum, which emphasizes Pancasila values. However, whether teachers can develop affective domain assessments optimally is still questionable. A literature study has been conducted by researchers and found that in Indonesia, teachers tend to develop cognitive domain assessments more than affective and psychomotor domain assessments. This research aims to compare the results of two learning approaches, namely the anti-radicalism value project model and the conventional model, in enhancing the commitment of young citizens. Through data analysis from two groups of classes, the experimental and control groups, we evaluated the outcomes of both learning models on the improvement of young citizens' commitment, including their knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors towards the values and principles of Indonesia's constitutional democracy. Although the internet provides benefits, teachers' role as central figures in the learning process is imperative. Due to misuse and abuse of technology, promoting digital citizenship for student teachers was challenging. Using nine elements of digital citizenship by Mike Ribble, this study explores the knowledge and comprehension of digital citizenship (DC) among twenty student teachers involved in semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation.
