Among the mountain systems that make up the Zarafshan range within Uzbekistan, the largest is the Karatepa mountain range with an absolute height of 2200 m. It can conditionally be divided into four vertical altitude zones. The highest zone occupies a height of 1800-2200 m; the middle zone is 1200-1800 m and the lower zone is 750-1200 m. Below this height is the foothills. The aim of the research is to study the species composition and abundance of phytonematodes associated with perennial wild plants of the Zarafshan mountains. The article compares the new data obtained on the degree of salinization of hydromorphic soils common in the Mingbulak district, as well as on the dynamics of changes in ground, irrigation and drainage waters, with data from previous studies.
