This project will provide classroom teachers with examples of how music can be taught on a daily basis through the integration of disciplines. After completing an extensive review of literature, the writer evaluated teaching standards of both music and curriculum subject areas found similar learning goals and designed a series of twelve lesson plans that integrated these standards.

The artist scholars: E pluribus unum is an exploratory curriculum designed to be implemented into middle schools. Adolescents experience a period of chaotic and emotional changes that can be both confusing and challanging. This cummiculum seeks to give adolescents a means of expressing themselves. By introducing students to performing arts, the literary arts, and the visual arts, adolescents will begin to answer the basic questions of being human: who are we? Where do we come from? How is knowledge constructed, used, and valued? Each unit consists of lesson plans intended to introduce students to the basic elements of the arts.

This project examines the theories of guided imagery as a basis for a teaching strategy for developing a student's creativity, promoting learning by increasing concentration techniques and relaxing students. This study discusses how one first grade teacher used guided imagery with her students. The strategy was first used as a morning practice and later incorporated into the language arts program.
