The Public Relations Program Of The Alameda City Schools, Harold V. Lajeunesse

University of the Pacific Theses and Dissertations

Public relations programs have been generally characterized as having as their purpose the indoctrination of the public along lines favorable to a commodity, a service, or an idea. In education, there seems to be a growing realization that the function of a public relational program in the school system is the utilization of all of the agencies of a community toward the end of accomplishing the objectives of the public schools. This realization has been further stimulated as educators have recognized that isolation from the community is often detrimental to the aims of the schools. In broadening the scope of …

The 1928 Salary Schedule Of The City Of Alameda And Its Effect Upon The Improvement Of Teachers In Service, James Mathews Bryan

University of the Pacific Theses and Dissertations

The improvement of the teaching staff is a problem that constantly confronts every school department. Writers of leading books on school administration consider this problem so important that they almost universally devote one or two chapters to its discussion. Dr. Ellwood F. In recent years, however, many school departments have been unable to add new strength to their school systems by the addition of new teachers, for the reason that there were no …

Experimental And Observational Geometry, Albert D. Field Jan 1928

Experimental And Observational Geometry, Albert D. Field

University of the Pacific Theses and Dissertations

Geometry has the distinction of being one of the oldest subjects given in the high-school.
