Student homelessness is an issue because it is harder for teachers to reach them than a student with stable living conditions. Social emotional learning (SEL) is an important aspect of school that does not get enough attention. Many teachers are currently focused on academics instead of how their students are handling the stress of COVID-19 and distance learning.
