Effects Of A Parent's Intervention To Decrease Stereotypic Behavior And Increase Interactions Using Self-Management Treatment For Students With Autism In Korea, Jeongil Kim
All Graduate Theses and Dissertations, Spring 1920 to Summer 2023
The present investigation examined the effects of a parent's intervention to teach students with autism self-management to decrease their stereotypic behaviors. A time-lagged ABA (A represents the first baseline, B does intervention, and A does the second baseline) design was used. Three mothers of children with autism were trained to reduce their children's stereotypic behaviors using a self-monitoring strategy. A Comparison Of Perceptions Of Parents By Students In Three Different Schools, Lorin A. Broadbent
All Graduate Plan B and other Reports, Spring 1920 to Spring 2023
There seems to be little doubt about the complexity of the parent-child relationship. Increasing research continues to emphasize the importance of this relation to the healthy personality and the self-concept of the youth. Gregory (1958) notes that there is considerable data showing that children who have lost parents due to separation or death have a much greater chance of manifesting antisocial, delinquent, or psychopathic disorders.
There is a great deal of research pointing to the problems, reasons for the problems, and the results of the problems in parent-child relationships. Many studies indicate that it is important for a child to …

A Study Of The Relative Importance Of Items Discussed In Parent-Teacher Conferences As Rated By Parents And Educators In The Logan City Schools, Robert W. Bickmore
All Graduate Theses and Dissertations, Spring 1920 to Summer 2023
There are numerous ways, both written and oral, in which the schools can report pupil progress to parents. Promising practices include parent-teacher conferences, notes to parents, combination of narrative reports and parent-teacher conferences, and progress check sheets indicating, among other things, attitudes and behavior.
Educators have long recognized the inadequacy of the report card and the traditional marking system. Studies show that no two teachers mark just alike, even with a common set of standards to follow. Children work for marks rather than self-improvement. Marks, alone, cannot and do not tell a complete story.
