Heritage Scrapbooks

Student scrapbook, covering the years 1938 through 1940. The most commonly photographed person appears to be Gwendolyn Ruth Niebel, and it is most probable the scrapbook belonged to her. She was a student from 1937-1940 and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Education. Her hometown was Dunkirk, New York. She was an active part of the Cheerleading Team, belonged to the Philalethean Literary Society, Mnanka Debate Club, Vesper Choir, and Education Club.

Scrapbook contains clippings from University Publications of campus and specific campus buildings. Each image is numbered and all are organized in sections. The images appear to be from various eras, but are probably 1930 or later due to the presence of Maytag Gymnasium. The creator of the scrapbook is unknown.

Scrapbook made by Taylor University Student Lucille M. Jones during 1928 through her senior year in 1930. It is a themed scrapbook, formatted under the title “Friendship Memories of School Days” and contains various sections dedicated to specific parts of the academic experience. The scrapbook contains various clippings from Taylor University Publications as well as various mementos and souvenirs taken from campus events. The presenters of the gift include: Clair J. Snell, Gertrude Wamsley, Wayne York, Melvina Gleason, Robert Clark, Iva Hawkins, Hazel Chamberlain, Gertrude Jackson, Lila Hardenbrook, Edna Callahan, Marcius Taber, and Deane Irish.

Loose pages from an unknown scrapbook. Most photographs are of students, faculty, and families. Donated by Charles Jennings, a 1925 graduate. He may have assembled the photos from various years previous to his time as a student, though it is more probable that a student at the time assembled the pages. There are no names or labels on any of the pictures.
