Parents’ beliefs towards math have been shown to impact their children’s academic achievement in the subject (Elliott & Bachman, 2018; Maloney et al., 2015). With the constant changing of math standards, the math taught in today’s schools may be different from the way parents were taught math. This change can lead to feelings of discomfort or nervousness when the subject is brought up. A parent workshop geared towards helping parents better understand the way math content is being taught can help them to feel more comfortable with math and more prepared to help their children. Service-learning courses offer a new dynamic to student learning, as the relationship between students and instructors has changed, requiring shared power and equal participation rather than a hierarchical transfer of influence. Students new to service-learning courses require a new kind of support from faculty within the field. This necessitates the ability of course instructors to create an opportunity for students to become equally contributing members of a community program.

Drawing from the P.A.R.E model, the service-learning course merges students' experiences, guiding them through practice regimens, project implementation, and reflection activities to connect service experiences with course content. This reflective process …

This study’s goal is to provide a guide to anyone looking to educate the elderly on fraud. Advice is provided for those who want to help an elderly person in their life and for people who wish to create fraud educations programs of their own. My own experience creating and giving a fraud lecture at a senior living facility is used as evidence for my advice, as well as research into various elderly and fraud related topics.

This article aims to understand the implications and remedies for the recent turmoil in business school enrollment and retention. By reviewing the academic business literature on enrollment decline and by incorporating a traditional marketing strategy framework, we categorized the existing studies to come up with a list for success. We found that business schools must revise their curriculum with sustainability and technological change in mind. They must invest in hedonic aspects of business education, consider adding creative internship opportunities and incorporate innovative online learning initiatives.
