The writer, in order to lay the foundation for the improvement of the public relation program for his community, conducted this questionnaire study with a threefold purpose in mind. (1) To evaluate the overall public relations of the school with its community, (2) to bring to light the weaknesses and neglected parts as well as the strengths of the school and community relations and, (3) thereby to provide a point of departure in improving the school public relation program.

To accomplish this purpose the writer has discussed, in abbreviated form, the history and philosophy of a guidance program and has called attention to the role of participants, especially of the administrator and classroom teacher, in such a program.
