Variations Sur La Langue De Molière; L’Enseignementdu Français Aux États-Unis, Thomas C. Spear
Variations Sur La Langue De Molière; L’Enseignementdu Français Aux États-Unis, Thomas C. Spear
Présence Francophone: Revue internationale de langue et de littérature
French has always been among the top foreign languages taught in the American university, even if Spanish occupies the first place. As a result of the social transformations of the 1960s and 1970s and the development of new fields of learning, changes were also introduced gradually into French department programs to include francophone literatures, although in a manner that some have deemed disturbing.
This openness, which is not found in France, has brought about the creation of new faculty positions, some of which are occupied by teachers and writers from Africa and the Caribbean who are making a significant contribution …

Evaluating Attainment Of Global Education Goals, Silva Kurtisa
Evaluating Attainment Of Global Education Goals, Silva Kurtisa
Master's Capstone Projects
Movement that might be labeled "global education" has been existent in the United States for about 30 years. Global education content has been substantially expanding during evolution of the term. It may be drawn from all social sciences subjects but should not be limited to them. Recognizing that global education cannot be defined in terms of discipline, educators may infuse a global perspective in all subjects. A number of learning activities, resources, and teaching methodologies that contribute to a truly global curriculum have also been emerging and are described here. However, various descriptions and vague definitions of global education have …

A Study Of Child Nature: From The Kindergarten Standpoint, Elizabeth Harrison
A Study Of Child Nature: From The Kindergarten Standpoint, Elizabeth Harrison
Elizabeth Harrison’s Writings
Preface
These talks for mothers and teachers were given before my classes in Chicago and elsewhere. They are now published at the earnest request of the members of those classes, and are in nearly the same form as when given, which accounts for the number of anecdotes illustrating different points, as well as for the frequency of personal reminiscence. Fully aware of their many defects, but knowing well that "Charity covereth a multitude of sins," I give them with a loving heart to the mothers of America. I hop that the thought underlying them may be as helpful to others …
