Problem
The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions of Black freshmen and seniors toward counseling experiences at a historically Black urban university and at a historically White urban university.
Methodology
Four hundred and thirty-eight Black freshmen and seniors enrolled at a historically Black urban university and at a historically White urban university located in the Southeastern area of Texas during the spring session of the 1982-83 academic year constituted the available sample size from the identified population. To determine the perceived counseling experience of the Black freshmen and seniors, the Counseling Evaluation Inventory (Linden, Shertzer, & Stone, …
