Revolution By Evolution: The Needed Graduate Response To Undergraduate Social Work Education, Roger A. Lohmann
Revolution By Evolution: The Needed Graduate Response To Undergraduate Social Work Education, Roger A. Lohmann
Faculty & Staff Scholarship
This paper is an assessment of the state of the art of graduate social work curricula with particular reference to the lag of such curriculum in responding to the maturation of undergraduate social work education. Advanced standing programs, it is suggested, offer a purely administrative solution to the curriculum question posed by the new continuum of social work education. An ad hoc trial and error problem-solving strategy is called for, on the basis of four assumptions: the primary of the BSW curriculum; and the advanced, specialized and applied science character of graduate social work.
A Comparative Study Of Academic Achievement Of Students From Phased-Elective Social Studies Curriculum With Students From A Traditional Social Studies Curriculum, Dennis Minnix
Masters Theses & Specialist Projects
In this study, the academic achievement of two groups of University students was compared. The control group consisted of 15 students who had attended a traditional high school. First, students were compared at the end of the eighth grade to determine if any significant difference existed prior to their exposure to the two high school programs. Next, students were observed at the end of their high school education by comparing scores …

Part I - Dr. Virgil S. Hollis
Developing the number of school administrators who are increasingly becoming interested in humaneness and the humane society members who are interested in education, I think, means that all of us must keep close touch with each other although we know very little of each other's field. This exposure to you and your programs in meetings such as this will surely result in a united attack on a mutual problem We need your help. And you need our help. You need help from the group that I represent in education because the many programs …
