The purpose of this investigation was to determine whether or not a handbook should be developed for beginning basketball coaches. Specifically, this investigation was designed to answer the following questions: (1) Do “AA” high school coaches use coaching handbooks? (2) What materials are included in these handbooks? and (3) If “AA” high school coaches did not have a handbook, what material did they think should be in a handbook?

The purpose of this study has been to determine the effectiveness of the health instructional program in the secondary class B schools in the State of Washington. Through the survey technique, 119 schools were contacted and questioned in relation to: (1) the various methods of organizing health classes; (2) attitudes of the instructor toward teaching health; and (3) the college preparation of health instructors.

The purpose of this study was to survey the commercial curriculum of the high schools of the State of Washington. Of particular emphasis was (1) the number of high school commercial teachers employed; (2) commercial subjects offered, grade level at which offered, and total semesters offered; (3) the availability of business machines; (4) commercial courses least needed, and (5) commercial course subjects that could be added. This survey reveals the common characteristics of the commercial departments of the high schools at this time.
