The purpose of this study was to investigate and analyze community power actors' responses to a questionnaire, in order to gain information to be used in developing Career Next Step High School Placement Center guidelines.

The study was a descriptive research which employed the reputational technique to identify community power actors and the survey technique to gain information from selected urban schools for comparative purposes.

The reputational technique surveyed 31 Ogden Community power actors and the survey technique was administered to 26 selected urban high schools in Utah.

Guidelines were developed for the following major areas:

This project was to develop a song-story for second grade from William Steig's story, Sylvester And The Magic Pebble. A song-story is a narrative in which part of the plot is told in song. The songs enhance and interpret the feeling or emotion of the story. The purpose of this project was to create a medium for learning in language arts, music, and art; to elevate the self-image of the children who need it; and to provide a rewarding experience that would bring enjoyment and satisfaction to the children.

The purpose of this Honors Project is to derive games and visual aids to help a child learn different musical concepts. From my own experiences of being a student and from teaching piano, it is my opinion that the more creative and versatile a teacher is, the more a child will learn. The purposes of this study were: (1) to develop Audio-Visual-Tutorial (AVT) materials to supplement the teaching of Accounting I at the community college level and (2) to compare the results obtained in an experimental group using two units of AVT materials with a control group attending regular lecture sessions.

The AVT slide and tape presentation was developed during the spring and summer of 1971. A Study Of The Neurological Impress Method With Remedial Secondary Students, Larry Charles Reynolds

This paper presents a study of the Neurological Impress Method, with junior high students two or more years behind their expected Reading Comprehension level. Thirty students were randomly selected and placed into control and experimental groups by a random number process. These S's received eighteen weeks of special treatment with either the N.I.M. or oral reading practice for the controls. Statistical analysis showed no significant difference between the Reading Comprehension gains of controls and experimentals. The gains of both controls and experimentals was, however, found to be of significance. Conclusions and recommendations included suggestions for additional research and a discussion …
