It was the purpose of this study to determine if games designed to teach phonics would improve phonetic skills as measured on the Lyons and Carnahan Developmental Reading Test. The null hypothesis investigated was that there would be no difference between groups receiving classroom game experience in phonic skills and groups receiving workbook experiences in phonic skills.

The purposes of this study were: (1) to determine the significance in variability between right, left, forward and backward movement times resulting from assuming the three-point and the four-point center stances, for junior high, senior high, junior college and college football players without previous experience at the center position; and (2) to determine the significance of difference between means of right, left, forward and backward movement of the three-point and four-point stances for each of the groups, viz., junior high, senior high, junior college and college.

A case study of one student who failed to pass the reading portion of the teacher education test at Central Washington State College was the investigation of this paper. The purpose of this study was to present the case study as a technique in diagnosing the reading disabilities of the individual and using the diagnosis as the basis for prescription and implementation of corrective procedures. This investigation was also conducted to serve as a single depth study upon which future case studies at the college level could be based.

It was the purpose of this study to determine statistically the effect of an Exer-Genie isometric-isotonic conditioning program on the jumping ability and cardiovascular fitness of junior high school athletes, as compared to a group of junior high school athletes involved in a routine conditioning program using calisthenics. The Sargent Jump Test was used to determine jumping ability and the Cameron Heartometer was used to determine cardiovascular fitness. Each group was compared in view of time spent on conditioning.
