Enrichment And Supplemental Materials In An Adequate Reading Program In Grades One Through Five, John C. Ayers
Enrichment And Supplemental Materials In An Adequate Reading Program In Grades One Through Five, John C. Ayers
Graduate Student Research Papers
It was the purpose of this study to consider materials for enrichment and supplemental purposes to strengthen the present reading program as it now exists in the Castle Rock Elementary School. The writer has found, however, that while materials do have a prominent role in reading, materials alone can not support an adequate program unless a more complete picture of the reading process is established and operating. This study will therefore concern itself with supplemental and enrichment materials as an integral part of the complete program and not necessarily as entities in themselves.

An Analysis Of Factors For Effective Learning In An Auto-Instructional Program In Space Perception, Glenn E. Peters
Teacher Education, Educational Leadership & Policy ETDs
Most teachers have often been frustrated by their inability to maintain control over the elements of learning for a given set of learners at a given time. The difficulty and the hope of alleviating this situation have provided an impetus for this study. In it there has been an attempt to increase learning process control capability in certain specific aspects. Within this context, the purpose of this study and experiment was four-fold:
1. To explore the use of programs and teaching machines in curriculum research beyond the boundaries already reached by other investigators.
2. To investigate, by use of teaching …

Ec63-524 Favorite Holiday Foods
Ec63-524 Favorite Holiday Foods
University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension: Historical Materials
The Christmas season is the time when the creative homemaker turns magician and hypnotizes her family by whisking from her oven all kinds of foods with holiday glamour. When the family says, "It smells like Christmas," mother has caught the Holiday spirit in the most womanly custom of all, cooking.
Because of our varied ancestry, many foods of many lands have become traditionally American. Sharing of recipes is akin to sharing of Holiday goodies, so a few homemakers have shared some of their old country cooking customs with us.

Rb63-211 Performance Of Alfalfas Under Five Management Systems, W.R. Kehr, E.C. Conard, M.A. Alexander, F.G. Owen
University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension: Historical Materials
This bulletin reports stands, forage yields, and other agronomic data on alfalfas of diverse origin or type tested under five management systems at Lincoln, Nebraska.
Narrow-crowned and broad-crowned types were tested. The management systems involved non-irrigated alfalfa-bromegrass tests (a) continuously grazed with steers, (b) cut for hay, and (c) rotationally grazed with sheep; an irrigated alfalfa-bromegrass test rotationally grazed with dairy cattle; and irrigated tests of alfalfas in pure stands cut for hay.
