The Lesley College Schools for Children collection contains catalogs produced annually and other records from the schools (the Carroll-Hall School, the Lesley-Dearborn School, and the Lesley-Ellis School) that the former Lesley College acquired. Each catalog contains a history of the school, information about faculty, admission, buildings, course descriptions, academic calendars, school policy, and tuition and expenses. The collection also contains a book of published poems from students in Lesley-Ellis Schools' creative writing class from 1958 - 1964.

The course catalogs contain names of administrative officers and the Board of Trustees, faculty, a brief history of Lesley College, description of library facilities, instructions for admission and registration, requirements for degrees, description of types of financial assistance, tuition, and fees. The collection contains the following years: 1909-1910, 1913-1914, 1917-1918, 1919-1920, 1922-1923 to 1923-1924, 1926-1927 to 1940-1941, 1943-1944 to 1944-1945, 1947-1948 to 2016-2017.

Eileen M. Curran was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1927, the only child of Edward O. and Laura (Meyer) Curran. She received a B.A. degree with highest distinction from Cornell University in 1948; an Honours B.A. from Cambridge University (England) in 1950; an M.A. from Cambridge University in 1953; and a Ph.D. from Cornell in 1958.
