Journal of Business & Leadership: Research, Practice, and Teaching (2005-2012)

Genetics-related research is rapidly developing increased understanding of the genes that underlie most human as well as the molecular processes in which these genes take part. It is reasonable for educators to assume that many learning-related traits will he found to have a genetic basis and that genetic testing will someday allow educators to access this learning-related information for each student. Knowledge of learning preferences would enable advisors, instructors and the students themselves to more closely match student needs with the appropriate educational environments and teaching methods. At the extreme, this information could make possible truly personalized education.

Student Perceptions Of Effective Visual Aid Usage, Reginald Bell, Rahim Quazi

Journal of Business & Leadership: Research, Practice, and Teaching (2005-2012)

This study investigates whether significant differences exist across college undergraduates’ grade levels, majors, gender, age levels, and income levels regarding their perceptions of visual aid usage in effective perceptions. These differences were measured by subjecting 226 college undergraduates at a medium sized state university to a Visual Aid Usage Presentation Survey (VAUPS). Principal component factor analysis was performed on collected data, which revealed significant differences in students' perceptions across declared majors and college grade levels on factors. These results suggest that business professors should present visual information according to differing perceptions of effectiveness across majors and grade levels.

Several reasons may exist that explain why such programs fail, and this study attempts to explain CRM in terms of its use as a company strategy that when combined with the market orientation of a firm, can lead to improved company performance. By using contingency theory to develop that a "match" between culture and strategy allows a firm to better perform, an attempt will be made to establish a relationship between CRM strategy implementation and market orientation.
